South Bay Kitchen Remodel

The Project

Their 1990s kitchen no longer supported the needs of their multigenerational household or provided the independence our client, who uses a wheelchair and has limited reach, deserved. Without moving any walls, we transformed the space into a brighter, more functional kitchen with a modern feel.

The redesign created up to three separate prep areas, improved organization for different cooking styles, and incorporated thoughtful accessibility features that make everyday tasks easier and more independent.

Inclusive design features

  • Roll under sink with pocket doors
  • Microwave, toaster, and coffee maker set at wheelchair height
  • Adjacent office converted into an overflow pantry
  • Peninsula seating preserved for family and entertaining

Materials used

  • Natural cherry veneer and painted custom cabinets
  • Engineered quartz countertops
  • Custom ceramic and glass backsplash
